National Team Tryouts

This is your opportunity to represent Canada and compete against the best sport martial arts competitors in the world.

In order to compete at the WKC World Karate Championships, competitors must qualify at a regional event. You are then eligible to compete at the Canadian Championships. If you place in the top four at the Canadians you will represent Canada at the World Championships in the fall.

These events are open to all competitors regardless of style, school or affiliation.

Cost: $60 per event for the first 3.  $30 for every event after the first 3.

Rules: The WKC rules will be followed.  Competitors can check rules out online

Friday 10:00am – continuous point all -10yrs, 11-12yrs, 13-14yrs

Friday 11:00am –continuous point all 15-17yrs, all adults

Friday 12:00pm – all 1st round kata/ weapons -10yrs, 11-12yrs, 13-14yrs

Friday 4:00pm – 1st round kata / weapons all 15-17yrs all adults

Saturday – 9:00am 2nd round kata/ weapons -10yrs, 11-12yrs, 13-14yrs

Saturday – 12:30pm 2nd round kata/ weapons 15-17yrs, all adults

Saturday – 3:00pm 1st round point sparring -10yrs, 11-12yrs, 13-14yrs

Saturday – 5:00pm 1st round point sparring 15-17yrs, all adults

Sunday – 9:00 – 2nd round point sparring -10yrs, 11-12yrs, 13-14yrs
