Tressa Young
At the age of 15, Tressa is proud to represent Canada at the upcoming WKC world championships in Portugal. Tressa started training in the martial arts at age 4 and trains under Sensei Craig Ridout and Shihan-Dai Stuart VanLuven in Barrie, Ontario.
This year at the Canadian championships Tressa entered every division offered (11) and at the end of the championships she won 8 gold medals and 2 silver medals. Tressa loves being part of the Canadian team, competing alongside her fellow Canadians and meeting new martial artists from across the globe.
"The best part of being part of the team is the friends and relationships I have made along the way. Nothing could be better-well except winning gold for Canada of course."
Denis (Dionysios) Vlachos
Denis is 16 years old and has been practicing martial arts since the age of 11. He trains under the close supervision of Kyoshi Pierre Saulnier owner and founder of Les Centres de Karate Sunfuki. Denis excels in both traditional and extreme forms with traditional being his specialty. This year he will be participating in his 1st World Championships which are being held in Dublin Ireland. He goes into these championships with a gold medal in Traditional weapons, Gold medal in Freestyle Forms, Silver medal in Extreme Musical Forms, Silver medal in Point Sparring and a Silver medal in Traditional Synchronized Forms. Training more intensely than ever, he hopes to come back with at least 1 Gold medal from the World Championships.
Anick Cousineau

Anick est âgé de 15 ans et pratique les arts martiaux depuis l’âge de 10 ans. Elle s’entraine avec Kyoshi Pierre Saulnier au Centre de Karate Sunfuki de St-Eustache.
Après quelques années de pratique, elle a participé à ses premier championnats mondiaux en 2007 en Allemagne ou elle a remporté une médaille d’argent en soft style et une médaille de bronze en kata musical.
L’an dernier elle est allé représenter le Canada à Orlando. Elle a remporté deux médailles de bronze en kata extrême et soft style ainsi qu’une médaille d’argent en kata d’équipe avec son frère Alex.
En prévision des prochains championnat mondiaux en Irelande, elle a remporté l’or en en soft style, free-style, kata extrême, et le bronze en armé traditionnel et en arme créative lors du championnat Canadien en mai dernier. Elle aimerait bien sur revenir d’Irelande avec au moins une médaille d’or au cou.
