2011 World Championship Results
The Third WKC World Championships held in Cadiz, Spain was a huge success. Canada came in first overall in the medal standings! Thank you to all the competitors, coaches, and most of all our volunteers for a fun time. It couldn't have been done without you; well done everyone!

2011 Canadian Team Results
We had a record number of competitors at this year’s WKC Nationals, in Ottawa and everything ran smoothly. Congratulations to all of our students and thank you to all the volunteers who helped make this championship such a huge success. Now we prepare for the World Championship in Cadiz, Spain from October 31– November 5 2011!

2011 Canadian Team Member Profiles

Tressa Young

Tressa is proud to represent Canada on the 2011 WKC Canadian team competing at the upcoming WKC world championships in Spain. Tressa continues training and working hard to improve and prepare for the WKC event in Spain with the goal of improving upon her 2010 record.

This year at the Canadian championships Tressa entered every division offered (12) and at the end of the championships she won 7 gold medals, 3 silver medals and one bronze (team forms). Tressa loves being part of the Canadian team, competing alongside her friends and meeting new martial artists from across the globe.

"I have met so many friends through the WKC and have learned so much not only about myself but also about the strong unity among my team members. Thank you WKC for being top notch! I can’t wait for Spain – bring on the competition!”
